heat in the studio

I had an overhead natural gas forced air furnace put in our studio and
never again. The thing blows air on one side of our pots which creates
uneven drying. If I were to do it over again I'd get a sexy Vermont
Castings gas fireplace(the ones that look like woodstoves) and I'd put
it in the showroom with a Caframo fan (no electricity needed) on top
of it and blow the heat towards the other room which is our studio. It
would be pleasing for my customers too! Because of the forced air
furnace I have to cover my pots with newspaper and then plastic. I
never know when I walk out in the morning if they will still be
soaking wet on bone dry.
I make small in the winter as I chose poorly in the heat dept.
Back out to work. Firing a bunch of cups to send to workshops I'm
presenting in Kingston and Ottawa over the next two weekend.
Travelling by train to both places which will be nice. Sleep if I want
to, free Wifi if I want to, go to the dining car if I want to, no
scary will I make the connection, de-icing security strip down from
all your winter clothes kinda stuff. I'm off to school early each
Monday so I will have had a rest on the train even though I get home
around midnight.
Trains, I like trains!

Oh yeah...that would make problems alright.

Best to have a dedicated 'Damp Room' and to control the
Air/Warmth/Humidity/etc of it, separately from that of one's
Studio/Showroom/etc proper.

Just add a 'Wing' if no suitable Room is available to convert.

A proper Damp Room, and, you can control the conditions to perfection for
arriving at or holding any level of Clay-Moisture/consistency you like to
Trim at...and of course, no pesky uneven drying, over-drying, or other woes=

I like Trains also.

Might just take the Train to the 2012 Seattle 'nceeeeeeekies' instead of
flying.

Flying is just such a degraded experience anymore...eeeeeeesh...no thanks..=
