We've just run into the problem of frozen casting slip (porcelain)& so I
went back to read the recent notes about frozen clay to see if it there
might be some correlation. Basically, after we got the slip to thaw
out, its viscosity just isn't the same as it was before. We added a bit
of vinegar, & it helps a little, but it's just not as easy to work with
as the slip which didn't freeze.
Based on the responses regarding frozen clay, which is basically re-work
the clay (re-wedge or re-pug), can I assume that re-blunging would solve
the problem? Am I right or am I missing something? Also, throwing out
the frozen slip is not an option.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Grace
