Z. New Tyler Amber

Redart Clay 60
Gerstley Borate 20
Ferro 3110 20

:cone 6 oxidation
:color deep brown with light spots (not many light spots for me)
:surface shiney, translucent
:durable

Round numbers, too!

If you want light spots from this glaze, there are two things to try:
- use it on a light or white clay; spots don't show on dark clay
- don't sieve it

Yup, you heard me right, don't sieve it, at least not much. This is
a very tractable glaze in the mixing dept. Just slake it down and
then mix thoroughly with your favorite mixing tool. The little blobs
of whatever-it-is that remain are responsible for the light spots
and boy are they pretty!
