Fred,
I have repaired cracked handles that were cracked in the middle of the =3D
handle as you seem to describe.=3D20
I just wanted to test the ability of paper clay as a mender. I pulled =3D
the cracked handle off the pot...creating an actual hole in the side =3D
where it was attached to the porcelain cup wall. I rebuilt the handle =3D
with paper clay then the walls and put it all together.
It worked. I was impressed with paperclip as a patching material. That =3D
was made with toilet paper and porcelain scraps. Porcelain can be very =3D
persnickety about handles. I think they dried too fast. heated studio in =
=3D
Montana. They were covered.

I use a very thick slip of my clay and vinegar to attach handles.
You'd better be damn sure that's where you want the handle because =3D
moving it after a short time can rip the wall of the pot.
