Victoria Christen - Constructed Forms/Slipped Surfaces

In this two day workshop Victoria will demonstrate constructing pots from=

and hand built parts using terra cotta clay. Through the use of colored s=

lips and=3D20
terra sigillatas, she will explore the relationship between form and surf=
=3D
ace for=3D20
functional pottery. Victoria will demonstrate a variety of applications t=
=3D
echniques=3D20
for surface decoration from the use of flat areas of color, to loose need=
=3D
le carved=3D20
drawing, to delicate brushwork. All work is done on leather hard clay cre=
=3D
ating a=3D20
close relationship of form to surface. This workshop is open to all skill=
=3D
