I have posted a picture on my Blog of my fastfire LPG powered kiln (12 =3D
cubes) with interior stack and single burner. It fires to Cone 10 in 3-4 =
=3D
hours. Exhaust exits from left rear with no additional stack required. =3D
The exit flue inside the kiln is 2" x 9". The interior stack is HT =3D
compressed ceramic fiber cemented to corner wall. The ProFire-500 power =3D
burner fires vertically from underneath the kiln and the port is in the =3D
back right with brick baffle. The stack and burner take up the back 6" =3D
of space so I have a single stacking space in front for 14 x 24 shelves =3D
and vertical drafting all around.
The damper is just a kiln shelf on the roof that slides to adjust draft =3D
and close up at the end. I built it in 2004 and it has had 40 firings =3D
approximately. --nils
