I know what you mean Ilene, I spent all day Saturday last week in the ER ha=
ving a 7mm piece of kidney stone removed and I'm just now starting to pee s=
traight. Tomorrow I will have two molars removed and the stint comes out Tu=
esday. Then I'll have to put a sock on it all over again. I give up! No wor=
k for the rest of the week for me eh?

Gary, that was no fun!

A good buddy here just went through the same business. Only by the time
he got to the ER he has lost 60% of kidney function. Spent four days in
the hospital after the laser surgery. Wore the wick and the stint for 10
days. He's still like a leaky faucet, but the doc says that will
improve. At 59. he thinks he's to young for Pampers, but pads himself
just in case. BTW - the price of that stone has come to $53,000 so far
and rising. Thats scary! Best not get sick this day and age.

Kidney stones - no fun at all!

John

Ya John, =3D0A=3D0A I hope I don't take the spotlight off Ilene's trip to E=
R bu=3D
t this gives a whole new meaning to "Put a sock on it!" eh? I didn't know a=
=3D
bout the Pamper thing yet but it's a good thing I usta buy extra socks and =
=3D
t-shirts instead of doing laundry. Now I must have 70 clean pairs of socks,=
=3D
50 t-shirts, as many shorts, and they sure came in handy. The pain was ago=
=3D
nizing and the only way I could relax to relieve myself was put a sock and =
=3D
a shirt on it, lay in bed, and get up quick enough not to leak. Actually pr=
=3D
etty inventive I think. Just rinse out real good and dry for the next day. =
=3D
If I go through more procedures, which is quite likely, I'm gonna get stron=
=3D
ger pain medication. I certainly don't use that stuff for fun ya know. =3D0=
A=3D
=3D0A Today is finally much better so I don't need to cancel getting two mo=
la=3D
rs pulled in a couple hours. That's gonna cost the bundle but I get 5% disc=
=3D
ount for cash and my prom date sent me a few bucks toward the effort so I m=
=3D
ight as well accept the assistance. I'm fortunate enough to have medicare a=
=3D
nd a decent supplemental with a low premium and reasonable co-pays so the E=
=3D
R and follow up won't be the total bill. That would probably take the rest =
=3D
of my life. Still I'm gonna need to get busy when this is over and do anoth=
=3D
er load of pots and see if anyone will contribute some cash in return for s=
=3D
omething new or maybe even an older piece from the beginning of the series.=
=3D
I remember hearing J.T. Abernathy say back in the '60's he was keeping som=
=3D
e pots out of sale and saving them for his social security. I don't have a =
=3D
large collection from the past but they are some of my favorites and the ne=
=3D
w pieces will continue the themes.=3D0A=3D0A Lets hope Ilene fares better s=
