Isn't it possible that adding mason stain to color wax resist could
leave a powdered residue after firing? Requiring cleaning. The mason
stain could possibly flux with the clay body after the wax burnoff
causing yet another problem where the raw bottoms of pots could stick
to shelves or color the clay.
I know that wax is organic. But food coloring has a spoilage issue.
If I seem unconvinced, I apologize. That's what this group is all
about. Thanks Frank.
However...
There must be a way to color wax resist emulsion without leaving a
colorant residue behind.

Frank Colson: You should be able to "tint" your wax with any form of
earth derived natural oxide.
Mason stains offers a whole range of colors which are "non-organic".
