I'm flying to Arizona next week to spend a few days with my aging mother an=

d other family. A friend is giving me use of a car and I'm hoping I might h=
=3D
ave a chance to check out the pottery scene. I'll be near Chandler Heights =
=3D
- not far from Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek - and Tempe. Pottery has become m=
=3D
y favorite souvenir from travels.

Any recommendations?

Thanks all!

Two places in the Phoenix area guaranteed to knock your sox off are:

Mesa Art Center - a city art center in Mesa, has a FABULOUS ceramic
facility, jaw dropping. Ask their director where to go.=3D20

Ceramic Research Center @ AZ State Univ. in Tempe - a major museum
collection of ceramics w/ storage in glass fronted cases i.e. quite visib=

also worth a visit - architecturally really interesting, excellent use of=
