I'm going to be in Atlanta Thurs night and would like to go somewhere to
listen to live music - blues, jazz zydeco or??? We're staying near the
airport without a car, so near public transportation would be ideal.
I've heard that all of Atlanta is non-smoking - but then I read that
places that don't serve children are exempt - so non-smoking is
important too. Does anyone have some last-minute information for me?

I second Randall's suggestion of Fat Matt's rib shack in Atlanta.
Great, great ribs and BBQ as well as live music. It is a really small
place, so don't be surprised to find a line (it moves quickly), but it
is fantastic food, and it is a real BBQ/Blues joint, not just
decorated like one.
