it's that time again, the annual Empty Bowls extravaganza at the Gardiner
Museum...all proceeds go to help the homeless. Event date: April 16, 5-8
pm, cost $25. Participants select and take home donated bowls, famous
Ontario chefs prepare delicious soups for the occasion.
WE NEED BOWLS FOR THIS EVENT, SO WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL TO ANYONE WHO WOULD
LIKE TO SUPPORT THIS EVENT.
To sign up for the event or to donate bowls call the museum at 4l6 586
8080. Many thanks!

Would really appreciate more info on the Empty Bowls project.
Could you possible give out a few more details
(i.e. do the bowls get sold at the end of the event
and if so where does the money go, etc)
TIA

People buy a ticket which covers the cost of a bowl and the soup to put in
it. The bowls are laid out on long tables; people get to pick out what they
want. (We're the only ones who get to hold up the bowls for their
inspection, wearing latex gloves, since we try to keep the bowls sterile
until someone claims them.) We also contribute some larger pieces for a
separate, silent auction table. Good luck!
