the meetings that we had with nceca
were very positive and productive.
the staff spent a great deal of time in the
clayart room, visiting with people and finding
out how we operate/philosophy.
i know from my standpoint, the blend of the new and old
staff members of nceca have been a real delight. the enthusiasm
for the `total picture` of clay education is evident. we all know that
education in clay is K through 95. meaning elementary, high school,
community resources and college. they all count. clayart can bring
much of that together. the new director of data base for nceca clearly
understands what we can bring...think the word archives.
the numbers of people attending nceca was really down. who knows
why? economy, timing, location...? but it was really down.
and, the numbers of clayart friends in the room was way down.
but, for sure, the excitement over our new blending with nceca was
very real, and can only build as time goes on.
i am very pleased to say the least.
and, keith williams, nceca president, added a mug for the
exchange...a first ever.
