I thanked Eric Hansen for his information.
I have an old copy of the ACS catalogue of Phase Diagram publications.
But I think further comments might be useful.
Remember, those who are earning a living by exploiting their skills and
knowledge of the ceramic arts are, in many jurisdictions, allowed to claim
taxation rebates against expenses incurred in building their resources.
The Society was in past times generous to those who promoted its products.
Members of the Potter's Council would be entitled to a discount against the
1964 Edition and the Wall Charts. I have five of those for Alumino-Silicate
systems that cover the major fluxing oxides (FeO, MgO, CaO, K2O and Na2O).
I cannot see why University Libraries should not have the 1964 edition and
perhaps more recent compilations of diagrams on their shelves. Though it ma=
y
seem to be extortionate, the ROM collection might have a wider audience
where Material Science is offered at degree level.
