Hey Gang;
Gee, if ever there was telling evidence of what can happen to a pottery =3D
and potter's home in an earthquake...... these pics ought to stir the =3D
emotions. Just the loss of SiC kiln shelves makes me cry! Every =3D
traditional kiln in Mashiko suffered a similar fate. I feel glad to be a =
=3D
part of the rebuilding there with the contributions of auction/sale ware =
=3D
to the cause.
Best to all, Hank in Eugene
> David McDonald sent these to the Claycraft listserve;
> I received these photos from Shimaoka Sensei's daughter, Yoshiko (in =3D
Mashiko), and thought I'd copy them to the group. As the saying goes; a =3D
picture tells a thousand words. Contributions to help rebuild what was =3D
lost in Japan from this earthquake and its aftermath will be gratefully =3D
received, without a doubt.
