Welcome back to Mel...glad you are feeling better - and that Carbonite has
been useful for you.
I, too, have Carbonite and recently needed it to restore files, including
several thousand photos. It was very slow - e.g., required well over 100
hours to restore just the photos. Of course, I was relieved to have them
back...but naively did not have an external hard drive as my first line of
defense. Now I do. Carbonite's customer support is very mixed - several
representatives missed important bits of information that would have been
useful. The bottom line from my personal experience: it did the job in the
end but I would not rush to recommend the company.
