Mel's posting about his National Geographic image of woman making a large j=
ar prompted me to look through the remaining slides I haven't yet scanned t=
o PSE. I've got 19 slides in sequence of Ladi Kwali taken when she was on =
tour in the UK. She's making a large jar, a really neat close up of the too=
ls she used too-- site was at the old school of Art Education on Westbourne=
Grove in Birmingham where my late husband, Mike Steveni, was a Reader/Lect=
urer/Prof and the photographer. I would be happy to convert these to a CD f=
or anyone who would like to use them for teaching. Google her name and you'=
ll find out a bit more. She's awesome. Great historical connections. Would =
make for a good lecture series: Cardew, Africa, Leach, Japan, UK. Take it a=
nd run with it. No Man is an Island.

I'll figure out mailing and CD costs if there's enough interest. Maybe ther=
e's another way of sharing them. I'll think on it. Off-line would be good. =
Or call 360.336.6624. I'm up here on the top left where we're experiencing=
one of the first dawn to dusk truly sunny Saturdays since November. It's l=
eading the news on local NPR with gushingly embarrassing adlibs from the we=
ather guy. Don't let all those words of praise about Seattle's climate go t=
o your heads, folks. It's...ummm...changeable.
