all of my scrap glazes become temmoku.
or a variation.
it is a great base glaze for rhodes32.
and like john h. said...david h. has taught us how
to slide it into your clay body.
if i get all screwed up with a glaze during
making...you know, phone call...dog is barking
at `mother terese` at the front door.. saffron is protecting my life.
i have been known to put it around the pine trees.
or, add it to my fert spreader.
i also have two acres of marsh behind my house.
old pots get buried for people coming along a thousand
years from now. it is called `archeological assistance`.
the most important pots you will ever make are the
ones found 500 years from now.
everlasting life. the paintings will rot.
it is why i tell folks...`make the best you can, think
of the laughing around one of your pots in 2356 a.d.`
