I just spoke with the director of the summer program at ACC. He has =3D
extended the deadline for $1000 scholarships for my workshop. This is a =3D
new program that provides college credit courses through an intense =3D
three week study. Anyone interested in this should contact the =3D
Appalachian Center for Crafts, Beth Smith at 615 597 6801
It was requested that the class make murals for the campus at ACC. This =3D
would be a large part of the course.=3D20
Architectural Ceramics - Marcia Selsor=3D20
June 12-July 1=3D20
Come learn to manipulate extruded forms, discern absorption tests of =3D
clay bodies, design for public spaces, and acquire advanced handbuilding =
=3D
techniques such as handling large slabs, press and ram forming, wrapping =
=3D
around and over forms, using tar paper, and sprigging. Projects will =3D
include design and installation of murals for the campus at Appalachian =3D
Center for Crafts.
