Hi,

I recently bought a long tapered spoutmaker from Falcon...but can't figure =
how
to use the darned thing! I've tried pushing a ball of clay up the wooden
spoutmaker, then pulling a spout, but I keep getting uneven walls.

Has anyone used one of these things before? Any and all suggestions would b=

greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Roll a slab and use the wooden spoutmaker as a form for making the spout.=

I use a home-made cardboard one, but I suspect techniques will vary little.=

I roll, pinch, or stretch the clay into an appropriately sized sheet, wrap =

Hi Teri;

It is very similar to rolling out a clay sausage but with the
spout-maker inside the clay. Imagine a pretzel dog with the
spout-maker being the hot dog and the pretzel dough is the plastic
clay. And you roll your hand gently over it on the table.

It is lunch time over here, obviously.
