Hi Joyce=3D2C Tony and Shelia=3D2C All=3D2C =3D20
=3D20
Yesterday I listed my property for sale in Clarkdale=3D2C Arizona.
=3D20
A bit of a drive from Stephanie's but at similar altitude and tucked at the=
=3D
foot of Mingus Mountain and spittin distance from the Rio Verde.
=3D20
I hear the soft rumble of the waterfall from my bedroom window and the musi=
=3D
c of the rapids each morning over coffee=3D2C and balmy desert evenings wit=
h =3D
organic Verde Valley grown wines and good food and friends.
=3D20
Oh!!! did I mention that sweet wood fired kiln=3D2C studios=3D2C and real =
tree=3D
s right here in the high desert? Set in the riaparian greenway this place=
=3D
is an oasis for serenity and creative living.
=3D20
Yavapai College=3D2C or Jerome=3D2C 7 minutes away and a scenic drive thru =
Sedo=3D
na"s red rocks and up the breath taking four seasons Oak Creek Canyon to NA=
=3D
U=3D2C Flagstaff. ( about an hour drive)
=3D20
Me: I like change and new ground (about every 10 years) so will make the m=
=3D
ove to the SW coast of Oregon during the next few years. Got my eye on anot=
=3D
her piece of paradise up there so chose a realtor to start the ball rolling=
=3D
in that direction.

More Details: Call Kris Anderson 928-649-3800 Mingus Mountain Realty.

Stephanie=3D2C you have really sparked some new interests in
my old bones! I've been checking the materials my son
sent on to you (via me) and Drat! if I weren't so close to
entering my 80s=3D2C I'd sell out and head out over your way
for visits to realtors asap. I never thought I'd even think in such a woeb=
=3D
egone=3D20
manner=3D2C much less say it out loud....
IF a computer can be considered as being "out loud."
=3D20
Who knows? I might do the realtor part minus the selling
out part...... and see what happens. How could two
desert spots so central to magnificent locations be a
bad way to live=3D2C eh? Tony=3D2C how about you and Sheila=3D2C=3D20
have you considered such a move? Not that you aren't
in your own paradise already? As am I. Sigh...
=3D20
Jeanne=3D2C were you the one who asked about creosote. Yes=3D2C indeedy=3D2=
C that=3D
's a most=3D20
familiar smell to me following the
occasional rains. The "scrub" part of my own scrub
acreage (5 and wishing it were 500) IS creosote. ...
with another 90 acres across the dirt road. Scattered amongst the=3D20
so-named"greasewood" (creosote) are my
roses=3D2C irises=3D2C cacti=3D2C hollyhocks =3D2Cpalo verde trees=3D2C and=
birds of
paradise plus some scraggly Spanish broom and
rapidly spreading century plants. There's a large (for
desert) elm by the studio with a brand-new teen-aged
roadrunner living in it.... she prances around the garagio
roof until she spies Jack (the Cairn aged 2) just below
her and pounces....... good thing he's startled out of
his wits every time or she'd be lunch for sure. Right
now=3D2C the roadrunner definitely has the upper hand...

In the Mojave Desert of California U.S.A. thinking
about headin' up to Bristle Cone and Mt. Whitney
today=3D2C now that the weekenders have left for their
city homes........ used to live there..... L.A.... the
Valley... long time ago...... glad every day that we
made the move with my brand new California lifetime teaching credential in =
=3D
hand=3D20
......... though at the time it did seem
a bit like a frying-pan/fire scenario........
