old tabletop wheel

A friend of mine gave me an old table top potter's wheel the other day
and I was hoping somebody on ClayArt might be able to tell me something
about the wheel. It looks like there was once a name brand nameplate on
it but its not there now. Would love to know who made it if nothing
else. It also had a motor at one time. Will have an electrician friend
of mine hook me up with a motor and when I get it cleaned up and running
I'll post more pictures on my blog. Here is a link to a photo of the
wheel. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jeff,
The drive looks like the old Skutt post WWII design except
the ones I have seen were skirted all the way to the table
top. It's the kind I learned on standing up.
