It was Linda's wood-fire workshop at the Northern Clay Center that sent me
down my current path. Wonderful, insightful teacher.

We still have a few places in Jan McKeachie Johnston and Linda
Christianson's wheel-based classes at Shakerag Workshops in Sewanee,
Tennessee.
Jan is teaching June 11-18, and her class is entitled "Thoughtful
Considerations in the Making of Everyday Pots." She plans to explore a
variety of throwing and hand-building techniques and their relationship to
the creation of personal functional forms.
Linda is teaching "Pottery: Ideas and Making" during the week of June 19-25=
,
and her class will explore what sparks our ideas as we make functional pots
on the wheel.
Shakerag Workshops emphasizes small classes, excellent food, afternoon swim=
s
in our stream-fed lake, and a spirit of cooperation and camaraderie. For
more information consult our website (www.shakerag.org) or contact me,
