cone 10 oxidation firing schedule

Hi all,
I posted this question a few weeks ago and no one responded, so I'm
trying again.
I have a gas kiln, a Geil, with an automatic damper and a computer. My
Cone 10 reduction firings are fairly consistent and reliable. But I
can't figure out how to set the oxygen level for a Cone 10 Oxidation
firing?
I use the kiln for bisqueing and I need to set the oxygen level to 30
in order for it to reach Cone 05. How will it possibly get to Cone 10
and stay in oxidation?
I know someone out there must be using their gas kiln for oxidation,
not just reduction. Please, help me out!

Celia,
I fire natural gas oxidation cone 10.
I make mostly set work and reduction was too variable
for most customers since they are picky about color match.

The way I would approach your computer setting is stepwise:

Try incremental settings during a firing and watch the rise
rate.
The setting that produces the fastest rise rate is near or
at neutral
since the fuel-air ratio at that point is in optimum
balance.
Slight reduction will fire a bit slower and slight oxidation
will fire
a bit slower. From this you can pin point the setting that
fires
oxidation, write it down and set your next damper parameter
to be a bit more in the oxidation side.
