Nice floor, makes a true downdraft. I've used that type of floor since star=
ting to build kilns in the 60's. However my floor opening gets only blocked=
at the back wall, leaving about 1/4" gap to the back wall. Takes a few fir=
ings to balance the blockage so that the flame enters the trough as a sheet=
. Haven't ever seen anyone else use that type except for me and my partner =
