I have done several projects with kids on ancient Egypt.
=3DA0
Firstly, Egyptian cats...you an pull up pictures of them on line.=3DA0=3DA0=
The=3D
kids make scuptures of cats but that species....using what I call the burr=
=3D
ito method.=3DA0 Email me off list and I will explain.
I have also done "storytelling bookends"with kids, where they create ancien=
=3D
t Egyptian scenes on the bookends.
Also, if you have all girls, they love doing jewelry, mimicking those worn =
=3D
by ancient Egyptians.
When I teach children with certain themes going, I create a big posterboard=
=3D
of different pictures I print on websites so they have some frame of refer=
=3D
ence. I have done this with turtles (different species), castles, (did a wh=
=3D
ole 6 week session called the "house that clay built:"---where we created d=
=3D
ifferent dwellings of different peoples & animals ,=3DA0 modern art in clay=
,=3D
=3DA0 penguins (there are many varieties)=3DA0etc.=3DA0 Do one on Ancient E=
gypt a=3D
nd they will have something to see to energize them.
