Paul, we are from a culture that is afraid of silence. So it
is difficult to understand unless you experience it. The
environment of my teacher's workshop was very much like a Zen practice
monastery, right down to the tea house and garden. We even started
our day working in the garden like I've done in various monasteries in
Japan and the USA.

Also, I never mentioned art. (Original topic was Quality.)

Where beauty is concerned, the work speaks for itself. Just like
Nature itself. Were can we see you Art online? I can only find a
small snapshot Long's Park.

on seriously shaky ground and I challenge you to provide anything more than
anecdotal evidence for your assertion. My time in Japan was a near constant
assaulting auditory experience.
One doesn't necessarily have to experience a thing to understand it. If tha=

were the criteria the entire field of theoretical physics would be
dismissed.

Not all things of beauty are Art.
