carbon monoxide detector?

With all this discussion about oxyprobes (measures oxygen levels, not carbo=
n
dioxide or monoxide) and that carbon monoxide is the reducing agent, why
couldn't a device be developed that measured levels of carbon monoxide in
the kiln? We have carbon monoxide detectors in our homes - at least you
should if you have gas fired stove, water heater or furnace - so somebody
with more understanding needs to development a detector with a probe that
can withstand the temperatures in the kiln.
If I put my home carbon monoxide detector in the kiln I wonder which would
happen first: the case would melt or the battery blows up?

They use them in the boiler and furnance industry:

They already have those.=3D20

When I did a workshop with Jim Bailey he correlated the oxiprobe readings=

Lee, Had a look at the web site, not much information on temperature ranges=
,
but one did state range up to 1000F, certainly not useful in kiln chambers.
May be useful in the flue.
