A friend asked me to post this for him. Has anyone ever heard of or used =
=3D
this method??

Smoky Pots ?
About a year ago I heard about a potter using over the counter smoke =3D
bombs to color pots that had been burnished with a white T-sig.
I've tried everything I can think of to do this but no success. =3D
Supposedly he would hold it close to a hot pot and "spray " the smoke =3D
onto it. That didn't work for me. I've also tried putting the hot piece =3D
onto a brick, putting the lit smoke bomb beside it and covering it with =3D
a small reduction can. The only effects have been very small spots of =3D
color on the pot from direct smoke and a slightly pink brick from many =3D
attempts. So would you please post this to the list ? Anyone out there =3D
using this kind of smoke to color pots?
Thanks
