Due to a last minute cancellation, we now have 1 more spot left for our 2=

full day, in person, workshop with Welsh potter, Phil Rogers, on August=3D=
20
22-23, 2011. The workshop will be held at Monocacy River Pottery in=3D20
Thurmont, Maryland. We will still accept a deposit and will cut the enrol=
=3D
lment off=3D20
at 16 participants to make sure that everyone can work in comfort. We are=
=3D
=3D20
following Phil=3DE2=3D80=3D99s requested schedule/number of participants f=
or thi=3D
s=3D20
workshop. If desired, each potter may bring about 8 leather hard or bisqu=
=3D
ed pots=3D20
(preferably bisqued) to the workshop. You can always bring a few more=3D2=
0
and, if kiln space is available, we will include them as described below. =
=3D

l be m=3D
ixed and=3D20
on hand for all to use.=3D20
We ask that the work you bring can be finished with your own banding=3D20
wheels (if necessary) and your own personal tools=3DE2=3D80=3DA6..although=
glazi=3D
ng equipment=3D20
will be on available. Both throwing and hand building techniques will be=
=3D
=3D20
explored.=3D20
You can also just come to see one of the world=3DE2=3D80=3D99s finest potte=
rs in =3D

Doing your own work is optional. =3D20
Phil will present slides, talk about his work and background, demonstrate,=
=3D
=3D20
and devote some time to interacting with individual participants in =3D20
developing their work. Please see the museum collections he is represente=

Two weeks later, September 2 =3DE2=3D80=3D93 3, you will return with your b=
isque =3D
fired=3D20
work and we, as a rotating team, will load, fire, and unload the work. We=
=3D
=3D20
will unload at a time that is best for the vast majority of participants. =

=3D20
Immediately after unloading, Phil will be available from Wales, via =3DE2=
=3D80=3D
=3D9CSkype=3DE2=3D80=3D9D
, to answer questions about your results and to look at the fired work. =
=3D
=3D20
This is optional, of course, and the discussion could be done anonymously =
=3D

The cost of the full event, including firing, wood, and=3D20
