Since I have a kiln, I been asked about making wine glasses from old wine
bottles. I have found plenty of advice for making plain glasses from the bo=
ttom
of the bottle, but none for stretching and making a wine glass from the top
half. I bought some, but I have never made any. Can anyone refer me to a si=
te or
tell me the correct way to google for advice on this? Thank you in advance =
and I
will let you know how it goes, IF it goes.

Dear J A Fugate,
Glass processing is described in the companion book to Frank and Janet
Hamers's Dictionary of Ceramics.
Charles Bray, "Dictionary of Glass. Materials and Techniques" ISBN
976-6910-89-5.
The big problem in working second hand glass is thermal history. Common sod=
a
glass needs to be heat treated after it has been shaped to remove thermal
stress otherwise it can catastrophically shatter.
