I've used Brooklyn Red on and off for both throwing and handbuilding. I'=

Does anyone on the list use Standard's Brooklyn Red? I bought one bag
just to do some combed slipped pots with an amber glaze with... kind of
pseudo British slipware. While the fired pots look great, this clay is
SO difficult to throw with. It is SUPER soft, very touchy while bringing
up the clay from the bottom and just wants to sag. I tried this clay a
couple of years back and remember making mixing bowls with it. I didn't
have any problems then that I remember. I'm thinking it could just be
the bag that I received.
Does anyone else use this and have you had any problems?
thanks,
Nancy
