Anyone tried Laguna B-mix ^5 for raku? Is it acceptable?
Thanks!

Any clay is fine for raku firing, even porcelain - but here's the caveat:
Unless the clay body is open and porous you MUST increase the temperature
gradually/slowly.
We fire our raku very fast - 15 - 20 minutes!
Only clay that consistently takes this abuse is Soldate 60.

Kristina...
I have raku fired Rovin's You Betcha Mix, which is very similar to B-Mix,
with no problems or special considerations whatsoever.
For whatever it's worth.

Jim Chamberlain uses B-Mix in the works pictured in the book: Raku, Pit &=

Laguna now makes a B-Mix 5 w/grog. I have used it with raku and no cracks=

breaks. Throws great too. And I use it with ^5 glazes. Woo hoo - one clay=
