Through a very bizarre set of circumstances I am being presented with the
possibility of marketing other potter's work. This is a completely unknown
area to me but one I feel I'd at least like to look at. I would greatly
appreciate hearing from anyone who does this or can put me in touch with
sources of information. TIA, Maggie from Mt. Shasta.

Maggie,
The Rosen Group offers free exhibit space to guilds who wish to bring their
members works to market. Often these guilds charge just a few hundred
dollars and bring about 6-8 pieces of an artists works to the Buyers
Market. This gives the artist a change to "test" the wholesale marketplace
and gives our buyers access to new and often young artists who are just
starting out in their careers... what's in it for us? ... it's likely that
sooner or later the successful artists will want to take their own space at
market and show their entire line of work. This February we have about 20
non-profit guilds from the US and Canada presenting work. If your group
qualifies we might be able to accomodate you! Send us some informaton
about your group....

Dear Wendy, Thank you very much for your response to my earlier post about
marketing other potter's work. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to
you but I've been in and out of town. I am very new to the marketing game
and am just beginning to look into compiling a group of potters and have
only one other artist at this time. I would be very interested and
appreciative of any information you could send about your group, how to
qualify, etc. and also any info or resources regarding representing other
potters work to galleries and interior design companies, starting with the
basics. I am in need of resources about how to approach potential buyers,
the different possibilities for agreements between myself as a rep and the
artist and of course legal considerations. Thank you very much- your
website was excellent and provided lots of good information. Maggie.
