Hi Roxanne,
Send me the recipe and I might be able to reformulate to stop that
problem. Probably needs some ball clay instead of kaolin - makes the
raw glaze tougher as it dries.
It may also be over flocculated - if that is the case epsom salts
would make it worse.

1. I SHOULD NOT have added CMC as I always do cause that makes it worse,
RIGHT?
2. I should add Epsom salts, RIGHT?
Any other suggestions?

Neither probably has anything to do with your problem. Issue will be eithe=
r
glaze application or glaze composition.

Sounds like materials in the glaze may have high shrinkage during drying.
If there's lots of clay in the glaze, might want to substitute some calcine=
d
clay. Or if it's a glaze like a crystalline glaze with high percentage of
zinc, then adding CMC does help.
Need to know what the recipe is.
