Dear All,
Well, I profess to have some faith in the law, it just makes life easier
(especially since I am married to a civil servant!) ;-) .... here's the EU
legislation on leaching of lead and cadmium:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=3DCONSLEG:1984L0500:2=
0050520:EN:PDF
(Be warned: it's not a fun read...)
There are EU limits for leaching/ migration of other material used in
ceramics (as is the case for plastics and other food contact material), but
it takes time to search through the database... shall post when I have it,
just for reference.
Best,
Inge
