Natural Impressions: Surface Texture and Design
with Christy Knox

Join us as we learn to create dynamic surface decoration by incorporating t=
=3D
hree-dimensional surfaces. In this two-day hands on workshop we will explo=
=3D
re form as Christie shares her methods and techniques using patterned and t=
=3D
extured slabs of clay. A variety of found and handmade tools will be inco=
=3D
rporated to create these surfaces. Learn how to form slabs of clay into mu=
=3D
gs, pitchers and vases using a variety of hand building techniques.
Christy Knox received her BFA from the University of Illinois and her MFA i=
=3D
n Ceramics from Ohio University. Since 2004, Christy has been the owner of=
=3D
Natural Elements Pottery in Cummington, Massachusetts. Her work can be see=
=3D
n at craft shows (like the ACC show in Baltimore) and in galleries from coa=
=3D
st to coast. She has also taught numerous workshops around the country. Fo=
