Hi
I'm not getting the nice black colour all the time with this glaze,
could the particle size of the RIO cause this problem??
Thanks

Hi Bryan,
Could be the iron - that happened to me.
Could also be something else - you said sometimes - does it come out
alright sometimes - what happens the rest of the time?

For me RROBM can be very, very dark green, dark
treacle, mirror black, temmoku (black/rust), tesha
(black/purple spangles). Same materials, same glaze
batch. Different bodies, kilns, firing & cooling
cycles. Lovely mainstay glaze.

Hi Des, hi Jan,
Thanks for the comments!
I only used it on porcelain - my kiln fired and cooled slow but it
gave me years of wonderful pots - it's just one of those spectacular
glazes - you still have to pay attention though - thickness is
everything.
