I have a teemoku cone 10 glaze that keeps getting thin between uses. =3D
When the glaze is mixed I use a hydrometer to get the glaze to the =3D
thickness that I like to use it at. Then I'll glaze several pots and =3D
slide the bucket under my workbench for storage. In about a week or two =3D
when I get the glaze out to use again if I don't decant some water off =3D
it will be way too thin to use. The glaze doesn't settle any worse than =3D
any other of my glazes. No hard panning either, just watery thin.
I got the recipe from John Britt's book.
Mark's Teemoku
custer 44
silica 26
whiting 17
epk 5
om-4 8
rio 10
bentonite 1
I took some of the epk out of the original recipe and replaced it with =3D
some om-4 to cure a small crawling problem with the glaze.
Can anyone see why this glaze would keep getting thin??
Thanks for any help!!!
