Last time I was in the Denver Art Museum they had, among other
things, a large number of pots from various native tribes, and
some Mimbres works, and pots from various archeological sites
in Colorado.
There are numerous potters in the Denver area, and Boulder,
etc.; and galleries.
Dannon Rhudy, musing on not getting to go skiing this year.

Norm:
The Denver Art Museum is great. The collection of Native American Art, esp.
pottery is fantastic. But, my favorite is a museum just a few blocks away
(north, I think). The name has escaped me, but it is filled with western
artists, O'Keeffe, Russell, Moran, etc. The building is old and brick. It
has been remodeled and is quite modern inside.
There must be someone out there that has a much better memory! What's the
name?

I have vowed that at any opportunity I would let the world know that
In My Opinion; Frisco, Colorado which is next to Dillon has very
restrictive speed requirements. I do not know what it is like now,
but folks I have met have referred to that town as a speed trap.
That was before and after I was ticketed there some years ago. I
won't leave any more money in that town. If you go there watch your
speed.

Bryan!
Move over, I think I'm in the same boat. Been there several times on
route to a ski vacation. I think it might be called Museum of Western
Art. In its heyday, it was a brothel. There are steps that lead to a
tunnel which ran under the street into a building on the opposite side.
There is an iron gate across the entry way, now. Great excape, I would
say!!!! The large paintings are breathtaking! This is a must stop and
see!!!!
Sande
