Hi All!

I've never written before (what I know would fit on the head of a pin =3D
compared to you folks!) I've learned so much from reading these emails =3D
over the years.

To introduce myself a bit, I am a part time potter of 14 years. I can =3D
ill afford to be at the teaching studio where I take classes and fire =3D
(electric kiln - cone 6 oxidation) these days to throw and need to work =3D
more at my home 'studio' which is in my living room (learned how to work =
=3D
very clean). If it will come through, I've inserted a pic (yes, that is =
=3D
a shower curtain to catch the mess - as Mel might say, where there's a =3D
will there's a way). In March this year I started selling at Etsy in =3D
addition to the studio's gallery and here is a link by way of sharing a =3D
bit more about me (I work with mason stains and bottle clear): =3D

I'm having problems with my Artista; it starts jerking at slow- to =3D
mid-speed very badly. I searched the archives and a similar problem was =
=3D
mentioned but I couldn't find anything about the resolution of the =3D
problem.

Thank you in advance for any advice or thoughts!

What's transpired: =3D20

Initially, I couldn't come down to slow speed from fast - it would stop =
=3D
and I had to get to slow speed from a forward direction which was jerky; =
=3D
the same thing occurred with foot pedal or hand control.
I contacted Speedball, the new owners of CI and they were so terrific I =3D
sent my tech helper a thank you tray I'd made even though the problem =3D
wasn't solved and a compliment letter to the CEO. Couldn't ask for more =
=3D
in terms of great customer service which is so rare these days.

They sent me 2 new control boards which didn't solve the problem, it is =3D
now even worse. =3D20
I had someone who fixes Brents take a look and she thought the =3D
electronics seemed fine so that it might be the motor so I bought a new =3D
motor. Didn't fix the problem. (I can return the motor to Speedball.)

The belt looks OK to me, but I've never addressed these issues so the =3D
reality is that I don't know what I am looking at.

I'm going to have someone else take a look at it next week who is =3D
familiar with wheels in general and is very handy but if any of you have =
=3D
solved this issue I'd be most appreciative to know the solution. After =3D
this fellow looks at it next week the next step will have to be hoping =3D
there is a place I can ship it off to for inspection.=3D20

Thank you again for any suggestions you might have.
