Adding a deflocculant helps a glaze go on more evenly. If I remember
correctly, Vince recommends Ca Nitrate, about 4% in water. It is an
excellent thickener. Slow cooling is important too. However, it's still har=

for me to make my matte glaze go on evenly on 4" tiles that need to be
similar at least. This may be a matter of skill and trial and error, but if
anyone has suggestions about shortening the process they would be
appreciated. Lesley
