Video about lusterware ceramics. (Unfortunately the actual iridescence of l=
uster glazes does not reproduce on computer screens.) The video is produced=
by Qantara.de, which was founded by the German Foreign Office following 9/=
11 to promote dialogue between the Western and the Islamic world. For some =
reason it is not mentioned in the video's historical survey that luster dec=
oration first appeared in the 3rd century glassware of Rome and in Coptic E=
gypt. But in general I found it interesting and informative.
