Thank you to those who have given input to the recent raku/ wood fire
here. I will post some photos to my web page as soon as I am able and
describe what went on. 4 potters had some pretty nice weather, a tiny
bit of rain on the cooling day and pulling the pots. We did get some
great color, lots of orange and patterns. The Kiln God's smiled on us
and we had a pretty good fire with 64 pieces and plan to have another
fire again next fall. We got a few stunners too I think and we'll post
as soon as I can get the work done with that. Also got one naked raku
pot - process that could be doable although it is hard to pull them from
the load, unless we stack at the South fire mouth which we did not do
this load. I'll explain more later.
