Well, back to work on loading the Hobagama with starting=3D
Hey Folks,=3D0A=3D0A=3DA0Well, back to work on loading the Hobagama with st=

s a result of =3D
loading a bit tighter throughout I'm now one 12"x24" kiln shelf short for h=
=3D
ow I had visualized loading the front setting with two layers of 4.5" posts=
=3D
and tight along the front to act as a bag wall and direct the flame toward=
=3D
the crown of the chamber and along the spine before being compressed into =
=3D
the exit flue and chimney. Maybe this more open in the front would allow th=
=3D
e gasses to expand and get to the center of the load but I would like more =
=3D
pots up front to get blasted by the highest temperatures. I suppose I could=
=3D
spend some ill-gotten gains and just order one more shelf since I'm also c=
=3D
onsidering getting a roll or two of insulating blanket instead of dirt, fir=
=3D
eclay, straw, and Portland cement to cover the chamber for more insulation.=
=3D
If we are careful and not damage the blanket it will be some easy to move =
=3D
refractory for a different kiln elsewhere.=3DA0=3D0A=3D0A=3DA0There are als=
