john britt reminds me that
i have used joe's glazes on my pots.
and, that is true.
but, of the thousands of pots i have made
over 50 years...i have controlled the glaze.
all of the glazes have come from others...except
a couple i have developed.
nothing is new...but, when you open a jar
and put it on your pots...it sure is not your
craft in making.
just my take...and that is what works for me.
others will never agree.

Guess the point is that there are times when buying glazes is the best an=
=3D
d there=3D20
are times when making them is the best.=3D20
I for sure love making them but certainly those who love to paint on pots=
=3D
may=3D20
want to spend time painting and not making glazes. So for them buying "pa=
=3D
ints" is=3D20
a good solution just like painters do.
I don't think that one is better than the other, just different solutions=
=3D
to the=3D20
problems of making art.
