China prospers....I am lucky to be here now.

The dollar sinks and the RMB grows. and my SS grows....a litttle.... And no=
w even now for some Chinese people who live in BIG cities...(not the 900,00=
0 farmers.)..but at least the farmers who were taxed for the last 2,000 yea=
rs. i China ...finally do not pay taxes anymore. 'Government' sometimes wor=
ks.
The bird fly south....much noise. The cedadas are resting...the dragonfli=
es are finished. Fall (or Autumn) falls....snow and leaves fall. flies go =
away...moquitoes are gone now..so off goes the mosquito net over the bed...=
.nice.
we have no flloods or snowstorms ....yet...other in NH VT and NY and Thail=
and and other places are not so fortunate. floods and horrors.....sorry=
.
The strret sweepers still clean the filthy streets..
JDZ is a small place....one of the 2 poorest provinces of China..Hunan and =
JiangXi......the poorest...but we survive somehow. They make cars and helic=
opters and airplanes and ceramics here ......60,000 potters here i Jing D=
eZhen
. The manners here are like a 1950 farm in America....but they wil learn.
we see what the world has to offer. (Is Qadaffi STILL dead?) ..............=

or?? ..talk of some glazes and firing magic. slow or fast fire? Which=
CMC or arabic gum... calcium choride? darvan 7 or bentonite works best f=
or settled glazes. Try it for yourself...the best test. IMHO.

the JingDeZhen Ceramic Fair was spectacular this year...better than all the=
years before. Sice 2004....Now The International Exhibition had a top pri=
ze of $20,000. Not bad for a pot or ceramic piece/ sculpture.

not me... I was accepted into this show...but did not win the top prize. =
It went to an Israli woman....nice work. I was thankful to be in her compa=
ny.
Happy Halloween was even celbrated here in JDJ. A a party at the West Virgi=
nia U. Studio last night.

Life goes on.......a good life here....time and facilities to do work. my=
work....my expressions. AH !!! the porcelain here is wonderful...full of =
