Plaster workshop in Denver Colorado with mold and model-maker Jonathan
Kaplan.
Learn plaster working basics for studio potters that will include:
proper use and selection of plaster, finding the parting line and
defining the separation plane(s), correct
mixing and pouring techniques, using the US Gypsum Plaster Volume and
Mix Slide Rule, making indexing keys, and much more. We will also
cover casting slips and their rheology, and making your own casting
slips. Copious handouts provided.
Dates: December 3-4, 2011 Saturday and Sunday 9am-4pm
Cost: $150 all materials included. 2 catered gourmet lunches from
Fuel Cafe (www.fuelcafedenver.com) are also included.
