Howdy y'all:

I was wondering how many of my no-glaze comrades (saggar, nekkid,
alternative) are going to Seattle this year. I feel like I need to
talk shop. It's hard going it alone. I need some fresh energy. Perhaps
we should get together and make some noise, what what.

Or not

Peace out when you're about,

My plans are to be there, meet up with old friends, meet new friends, see
stuff, then look at some more stuff and enjoy some time away on the left
coast.

Finances are tight, but I (and my nasty engobe-and-
paint- oriented brain) are planning on being there.

When we had our first NCECA volunteer meetings here in Seattle and
were brainstorming about alternative spaces for clay shows, a space
directly across the street from the front door of the downtown Seattle
Art Museum was suggested as the perfect place for a naked raku show.
It was a strip joint called the Lusty Lady. Too bad it's gone out of
business.

I lived in Seattle for 10 years (well, actually lived in Issaquah where =3D
I could look down on Seattle on a clear day). Can't wait to get back. =3D
See you there Taylor!

Hey guys,
What a great time I had in Seattle! So many great pots, so many nice
clayarters to chat with. My first time in the Pacific Northwest, in
Seattle, where I had to give in and buy an umbrella to keep all those DRY
raindrops (dry rain, Paul Lewing, sheesh....) off my head.
Such wonderful food, I loved Pike Market, how do all those flowers grow so
big with no sun? The clayart mug exchange was such fun, especially since I
got Stephanie's fabulous tile.

Here are some of my pictures. Enjoy!

Yeah, it was a little wetter than normal during NCECA. Too bad.
Usually it just kind of mists for days on end. Sorry you all didn't
get to see MT. Rainier, although if you looked at just the right times
you might have seen the Olympics or the Cascades. But Rainier's where
it's at. It's where God lives in the summer.

I'll have to disagree with you on this one Paul.

Having lived North of Seattle for many years
Mt. Baker is by far superior to Rainier or Hood.
It is a magnificant multi-peaked volcano and
you can snow ski on it on the 4th of July. Today's
report show 305 inches of snow at Pan Dome.
That's over 25 feet or almost 8 meters of snow!

My favorite camping spot of all is on the
Nooksack river on the North side of Mt. Baker
where the trout are small but fighters and the
river runs aquamarine from glacial till.
In the summer you can hear the rumble
from chunks breaking off the glaciers higher
up on the mountain.
