One last addition to Howard's thorough analysis is -it is also posdible,the
wire to the breaker box,from the kiln or receptacle, could be undersized
for.the amp load .
I have noted a few electricians sometimes do not know kilns and hate the
heavy.larger wires that are difficult to manipulate( especially in tight
quarters ) and opt for the wrong match, i.e. undersized wire.
Just saying.
