I just got two new books for Christmas. I always buy myself a book or two
for the holidays.. So I got two books by Edmund de Waall. I HIGHLY
recommend "The Pot Book". If you Google it you will come up with all kinds
of books on growing pot. Stick with it and do "The Pot Book" by de Waal.
This is a 300 page full colour book of fantastic pots and it's a $30 book.
A book like this should cost at least $100.
de Waal has a serious bug in his gotchies about Leach and it is a bit
tiring that every reference to BL has a jab. I wish he'd get over that.
I think de Wall was able to produce this full colour beauty based on the
success of the other book I got- The Hare with the Amber Eyes". This is a
great read on the responsibility of collecting written by a potter. I've
just started this book but I've already underlined things that I need to
rethink and read again.
Christmas morning, peameal bacon, eggs, pancakes, maple syrup, a Newcastle
Brown Ale to toast my dad who on Christmas Day let us kids have a Shandy (1
oz of Newcastle Brown Ale and about 10 ounces of ginger ale. After breaky a
couple of hours with my book. Life is good!

Tony,=3D20
The Hare with Amber Eyes is an excellent read, no mistake.=3D20
Re Shandy, what your Dad gave you is not commonly available here (though it=
'=3D
s my preferred version-with more Ale in it), the usual is 2 parts Bitter Be=
e=3D
r and 1 part clear Lemonade, very refreshing.=3D20
Happy Crimbo!
